Won the Major League Player of the Year award in 1954
Won the National League Batting Title in 1954 
Played in the All-Star Game during 19 seasons with the Giants, while winning the Most Valuable Player for the All-Star Game in 1963 and in 1968
Won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 1951
Won 12 Gold Gloves during his career with the Giants
Led the National League with a .345 batting average in 1954
Led the National League in on-base percentage twice during his career with the Giants
Led the National League in slugging percentage five times during his career with the Giants
Led the National League in runs scored twice during his career with the Giants
Led the National League in hits with 190 in 1960
Led the National League three times in total bases during his career with the Giants
Led the National League three times in triples during his career with the Giants
Led the National League four times in stolen bases during his career with the Giants
